Breed All About It Season 2 Old English Sheep Dogs

Each episode focuses on one of up to 150 canine breeds. In each episode we will select one or two dogs that serve as our main guides through the colorful world of purebreds. Through interviews with owners, trainers, judges, breeders and veterinarians, we will explore the development of a “top dog”. The episode looks at the life and times of a dog that is both a devoted pet and a determined working dog. We visit a family of sheepdogs that actually play soccer together, a dog who takes a trip to a canine ophthalmologist to get an eye check up, and we’ll really let the fur fly with a trip to the National Old English Sheepdog Competition in Denver.

Breed All About It Season 2 Episode 12 Jack Russell Terrier

In each episode we will select one or two dogs that serve as our main guides through the colorful world of purebreds. Through interviews with owners, trainers, judges, breeders and veterinarians, we will explore the development of a “top dog”. Each episode focuses on one of up to 150 canine breeds. The Jack Russell Terrier is a terrier among terriers, buoyant and intelligent, determined and relentless. Perhaps it is for these very reasons the enthusiastic and clever Jack Russell Terrier has risen steadily in the ranks of popularity in the United States during the past decade. We’ll take a look at its “feisty” origins by visiting the gravesite of the Reverand Jack Russell, the man whose name the breed bears.
